Demonstrate the companys core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety./ph3Responsibilities/h3pCreate an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store./ppGain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products./ppRecommend frozen food items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need./ppCheck product quality to ensure freshness; review sell by dates and take appropriate action./ppLabel, stock and inventory department merchandise./ppReport product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager./ppStay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads./ppAdhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines./ppEnsure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained./ppAdhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations./ppAssist with building displays in accordance with company standards./ppObserve scheduled shift operating hours./ppAssist with breaking down loads and stocking assigned sections./ppEnsure product is stocked quickly and efficiently to ensure product quality./ppKeep refrigerated coolers, store shelves, and other displays fully stocked and conditioned at all times according to tag allocation or department standards./ppEnsure that all current merchandising, customer service, cash control, labor control, expense and supply controls, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, associate and customer engagement rules are being followed./ppReinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management./ppPractice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair./ppNotify management of customer or employee accidents./ppReport all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud./ppMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation./ph3Qualifications/h3pMinimum:/ppAbility to handle stressful situations/ppEffective communication skills/ppKnowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction./ppMust be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position./ppMust be 18 or older./ppDesired:/ppRetail experience/ppSecond language: speaking, reading and/or writing./ppHigh school diploma or equivalent./p/div
