Overview

As a Back Room Receiver, you will play a vital role in our operations by managing all back room activities. Your ability to maintain efficiency and accuracy in handling incoming and outgoing freight shipments will be essential. Collaborating closely with different departments, you will ensure that our products are organized and presented in line with company standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Embrace and support our company culture while driving our mission and values.
  • Accurately receive and stock merchandise to promote productivity.
  • Process electronic purchase orders by matching them with vendor packing slips, noting any discrepancies.
  • Handle electronic transfer documents accurately, ensuring proper matching of items and addressing any issues noted.
  • Load and maintain barcode ticket printers, performing necessary weekly maintenance.
  • Generate tags from the ticket printer and ensure products are properly tagged.
  • Inspect footwear for defects and ensure correct pairing.
  • Organize and maintain paperwork and document flow systematically.
  • Manage back stock merchandise and facilitate their movement effectively.
  • Process returns to vendors and handle non-returnable merchandise appropriately.
  • Assist with special order merchandise and maintain a neat and organized back room.
  • Report any receiving, shipping, or system-related issues to supervisors.
  • Train and support stockers in all responsibilities mentioned.
  • Work closely with supervisors to help achieve company goals, such as enhancing web order completion rates.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Ability to lift and lower objects regularly during shifts.
  • Capability to carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs frequently.
  • Regularly required to pick up objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Comprehension of basic instructions and ability to interpret relevant documents.
  • Ability to apply abstract principles to complex tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding English, and responding to instructions appropriately.
  • Must be alert and attentive during assigned work hours.
