Construction Project Scheduler

Description:

RK&K is excited to welcome a Construction Project Scheduler to our dynamic Construction Management team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with our internal Program Management Office, working closely with internal staff, client project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to analyze and enhance project schedules. Your contributions will be vital in monitoring key performance objectives and the overall efficiency of capital improvement projects.

Essential Functions

  • Assess procurement needs and track critical activities to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Assist teams with logistics for materials and equipment, including handling, storage, and staging solutions.
  • Monitor project milestones and understand interdependencies to maintain project momentum.
  • Manage long-term project planning and update schedules as necessary.
  • Engage with clients to oversee contracts and ensure project progress.
  • Analyze delays using recognized methodologies to mitigate risks.
  • Provide proactive notifications on issues that may affect the project schedule.
  • Participate in collaborative meetings with teams, clients, owners, and other key stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least two (2) years' experience in construction project or program management.
  • Ability to assess and develop intricate project schedules.
  • Experience with CPM scheduling methodologies.
  • Proficiency using Primavera P6.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Understanding of contract procedures and fundamental principles.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comprehensive grasp of construction logic and sequencing, particularly in complex highway and transportation projects.
  • Willingness to occasionally work in the field alongside operational equipment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in construction and/or engineering.
  • Familiarity with Tilos and Procore software.
