Job Summary:

Perform Preventative Maintenance and repairs to agency facilities, equipment, vehicles, and furnishings. Repair and/or replace HVAC equipment, appliances, kitchen equipment, and lighting fixtures. Assist in the coordination of volunteer labor. Perform basic carpentry and electrical work. Provide after-hours emergency assistance as needed. Assist Property Manager as requested.

Essential Functions:

  1. HVAC preventative maintenance
  2. Carpentry - interior and exterior
  3. Plumbing
  4. Floor and tile installation
  5. Equipment repair and maintenance
  6. Sheetrock repair, painting and wallboard installation
  7. Assist and provide back up as needed for other Property/Maintenance team members
  8. Special event set-up
  9. Coordination of Maintenance projects and completion of service requisitions
  10. Assist with coordination of volunteer labor
  11. Accompany and oversee vendors/contractor labor on site
  12. Ensure cleanliness of roof valleys, guttering and flat roof drains.
  13. Basic electrical including but not limited to lighting and/or bulb replacement
  14. Vehicle safety inspections
  15. Various Landscape projects as assigned
  16. Agency security, safety and property inspections
  17. Documentation of preventive maintenance schedules
  1. Perform miscellaneous custodial duties including but not limited to trash removal, carpet cleaning and snow removal.
  2. Check and stock supplies


Job Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' training or experience in property maintenance.

Previous experience or training in the use and operation of basic power tools and some heavy equipment including but not limited to Skid Steer operation is preferred.

Able to read and apply instructions (i.e., manuals, etc.)

Ability to think clearly in a level-headed manner

Ability to multi-task

Ability to adhere to all safety practices

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.

Ability to respond to after hour emergency calls within 1 to 6 hours depending on the situation.

Must have a valid Tennessee driver's license and be insurable by FCA's auto insurance carrier. Must be 24+ years of age due to company insurance coverage requirements for possible use of agency vehicles or transport of clients.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to climb a ladder repetitively

Lift up to 50 lbs.

Stand for extended periods of time

Squat, stoop, crawl, and reach/stretch

Walk across the campus multiple times per day

Move heavy equipment
