Join our team as an Enterprise Network Operations Specialist, where you will play a vital role in designing, operating, and maintaining our robust enterprise network infrastructure. This position focuses on critical technologies such as firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs, and overall network security, particularly using Palo Alto, Cisco, and Juniper systems. We're looking for a proactive candidate who can manage daily network operations, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive ongoing enhancements in performance, reliability, and security.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Juniper and Cisco switches, routers, and wireless systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Administer and support Palo Alto firewalls, managing security policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and advanced threat prevention measures.

• Oversee site-to-site and remote access VPNs to guarantee secure and dependable connectivity.

• Utilize approved tools to monitor network performance, availability, and capacity.

• Conduct routine maintenance, including firmware upgrades and lifecycle management of network devices.

• Implement and uphold network security policies, segmentation, and access controls.

• Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to organizational standards.

• Keep accurate documentation of firewall rules, network diagrams, and configuration baselines.

• Provide Tier II/III support for network-related incidents, outages, and performance challenges.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to routing, switching, firewall configurations, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and wireless connectivity.

• Work alongside systems, cloud, and security teams to meet cross-functional infrastructure requirements.

• Maintain current configuration records in the CMDB.

• Adhere to established change management processes for any network modifications.

• Assist in planning and executing network upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's Degree is preferred.

• 7-10 years of experience in IT or a related field.

Other Job Specific Skills

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (Pan-OS, Panorama preferred).

• Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies (Catalyst/Nexus switches, routers, wireless).

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF/BGP routing protocols, VPN technologies, and network security principles.

• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).

• Ability to read, create, and maintain network diagrams and documentation.

• Proficiency in network monitoring tools, CLI administration, and automation frameworks.

• Strong expertise in LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking (especially Azure).

• Capable of supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints within enterprise networks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Palo Alto certifications (PCNSA, PCNSE).

• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP).

• Juniper Networks certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIP.

• Experience with cloud networking (Azure/AWS) or SD-WAN solutions.

• Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and modern architectures.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for network performance and security issues.

• Excellent documentation and communication skills for technical reporting.

• Strong communication skills with the capacity to work independently on complex projects.

Compensation Ranges

Compensation for this position varies based on factors such as location, skills, education, certifications, client requirements, and experience levels. The compensation range is $70,000 - $95,000 and serves as a guideline, with further details provided during the hiring process.
