Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently hiring a Patient Service Representative I in Knoxville, TN.
This is an on-site opportunity supporting a busy physician practice setting. Please review the details below and apply with an updated resume for consideration.
Pay: Starting at $14.50/hour
Type: Contract / Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Day Shift)
Location: Knoxville, TN
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet, assist, and direct patients and visitors in a professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments following established protocols
- Obtain and document accurate demographic, insurance, and visit-related information
- Complete patient registration and verify insurance coverage
- Prepare patient charts and encounter forms; obtain necessary authorizations
- Answer and route incoming phone calls appropriately
- Maintain knowledge of insurance plans and provider participation
- Assist with medical record filing and documentation updates
- Collaborate with physicians and care team members to support patient care
Qualifications - High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- At least 1 year of customer service and/or medical office experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
