Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated medical assistant with experience in pediatrics to join our team at a pediatric clinic. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in a pediatric setting to align with our training capacity.
Responsibilities

  • Take patient vitals and record them accurately.
  • Perform patient triage efficiently.
  • Conduct follow-up calls with patients or their guardians.
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding patient care.
  • Assist healthcare providers in room setup and preparation.
  • Ensure cleanliness of examination rooms as needed.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing.
  • Perform phlebotomy with precision and care.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in medical assisting.
  • Expertise in phlebotomy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • RMA/CMA license is required.
  • Must have a GED or high school diploma before onboarding.
Work Environment
This position involves working in an office setting, floating between two clinics while consistently partnering with the same provider. The work environment is relaxed, with kind and supportive providers who adhere to a structured schedule. Employees enjoy a one-hour lunch break with working hours from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Benefits are available from day one as a UPA employee or after 30 days for UHS employees. PTO and sick time begin accruing immediately and can be used right away.

This is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
