Role of Operations Management at Cardinal Health
The Warehouse Operations Manager oversees the building's outbound processing and ensures operational efficiency and safety. Your leadership will directly impact our business goals, profitability, and the development of our warehouse talent.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 5 Supervisors focused on outbound operations.
Ensure timely product distribution and compliance with distribution center standards.
Drive process improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Engage with employees on the floor and in office settings to provide strong leadership.
Translate business and cultural strategies into actionable initiatives for your department.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly HR, on a daily basis.
Develop positive relationships with peers and team members.
Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for supervisory positions.
Train and coach supervisors and employees to enhance their development.
Utilize systems to track and improve day-to-day operational metrics.
Hold Supervisors accountable for their KPIs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, DEA, and FDA regulations, serving as the primary contact for QRA compliance.
Manage financial metrics for the site, including profit and loss and budget oversight.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred
3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
Prior leadership experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Adaptability to dynamic operational needs
Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex challenges.
