This is a fast-paced and fun job in an established company where each day is different from the last. Kona Ice is looking for AMAZING people to serve in some of the KOOLEST food trucks in K-Town and the surrounding area! For over 15 years Smoky Mountain Kona Ice has served our delicious & nutritious shaved ice and 100% fruit smoothies to our wonderful community.

We are looking for motivated and charismatic drivers to join our local Krew. You must be honest, friendly, outgoing, and enjoy working with children and crowds. Kona Ice krew members need to have flexible schedules with a focused priority on meeting the needs of our customers. Your job location will vary from day-to-day: some days you may be driving through neighborhoods, the next day you're at a school, corporate picnic, or even a wedding! Have you ever been to a sporting event at the University of Tennessee? A giant festival at World's Fair Park? We serve them ALL!

(16+) Kona Ice Krew Member / Server Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment and work well with other team members
• Arrive promptly to scheduled events and greet customers courteously
• Provide superior service to clients and customers with speed and accuracy
• Comply with the hygiene, health, and sanitation guidelines
• Perform basic cleaning of trucks / warehouse
• Complete beginning and end-of-shift prepping and stocking
• Must be able to read, count, and accurately complete documentation
• Communicate maintenance & inventory needs to appropriate staff

In addition to the Krew Member / Server position, eligible candidates have the opportunity to earn increased base pay as an entrusted driver of our Kona Ice trucks:

(18+) Kona Ice Driver / Caterer Additional Responsibilities:

• Entrusted with independence - ability to operate events solo from start-to-finish
• Safely driving the Kona Ice truck to and from events
• Acting shift leader when Krew Members are present
• Corresponding with the client's on-site contact for necessary guidance in logistical changes
• Accurately completing pre & post event checklists for evaluating Kona Ice vehicles
• Willing to learn / be entrusted to tow Kona Ice equipment

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older
• Weekend and some holiday availability
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong self-initiative and problem solving skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable mode of transportation
