Position Description

Supply Room Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Summary

The purpose of this job is to load and unload materials and perform physical labor in the shop supply room and warehouse.

Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are general duties that employee performs. The actual duties required of this position will vary and may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assists in loading and unloading Trucks
• Assist Formen and Supervisors with part orders
• Works the parts desk providing parts on request
• Stock parts in supply room
• Follows up on paper work
• Continually use computers, math, and writing skills to perform the essential functions of the job
• Employee selection gives preference to job related experience and education

Pre-employment Requirements:

• 18 years of age
• Complete a company physical examination and drug screen
• Comply with work references and criminal background check
• Complete and comply I9 and EVerify requirements
• Complete all elements of employment processing

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of shop experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of mechanics, shops, and/or parts

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrate the ability to perform work tasks production/quality level set by the Company
• Demonstrate the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrate the ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and the general public
• Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Demonstrate the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Demonstrate the ability to perform all work in a safe manner

Job Duties:

• Continually stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, bend, crawl and climb
• Continually use verbal communications (speech/hearing)
• Continually have a full range of motion for arms, hands and fingers
• Continually demonstrate visual acuity, depth perception, color perception, peripheral vision
• Continually demonstrate ability to continually lift and move weights of 15 to 25 pounds
• Intermittently demonstrate ability to lift and move weights of 50 pounds
• Demonstrate the ability to climb ladders, balance on scaffolding, and work at heights requiring fall protection
• Demonstrate the ability to wear and maintain Personal Protect Equipment

Other Intermittent Requirements:

• Work 12 hours per day
• Work weekends and holidays
• Work all types of weather and ground conditions
