Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Louisville, TN. The candidate will design, optimize, and maintain GemFire clusters while supporting performance, scalability, and operational reliability across distributed memory data grid environments.
Rate Range: $37/hour to $39/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Developer job responsibilities include:
- Design and maintain GemFire clusters by defining region models, implementing highavailability configurations, and ensuring disasterrecovery readiness.
- Partner with application teams to translate business and technical needs into scalable, resilient GemFirebased solutions.
- Enhance deployment pipelines, monitoring capabilities, and operational tooling to improve platform performance and reliability.
- Recommend optimization strategies for memory utilization, data partitioning, and query performance across distributed environments.
- Serve as a Tier3 escalation points to diagnose and resolve complex GemFire issues, including cluster stability events, failovers, and performance bottlenecks.
- Develop automation scripts, runbooks, dashboards, and architectural documentation to strengthen observability and operational maturity of the GemFire ecosystem.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 8-10 years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems, or inmemory data grid technologies.
- Strong handson experience with GemFire, including cluster configuration, region design, WAN replication, and performance tuning along with solid Java proficiency.
- Ability to diagnose complex distributedsystem issues while leveraging CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and infrastructureascode tools to enhance platform reliability and observability.
