Job Title: Inventory Controller - 2nd ShiftJob Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our team for the 2nd shift at our Knoxville, TN lab. This is a 100% onsite position with working hours from 2:30pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves bothphysical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment.
Receive materials, supplies, and specimens from delivery services, document receipts, and reconcile products against packing lists.
Troubleshoot, communicate, investigate, and begin resolution for all inbound and outbound sample shipment delays.
Organize materials, supplies, and specimens in appropriate storage areas and inspect stocks.
Ensure inventory controls, security, and accountability of materials and goods.
Prepare, organize, and maintain shipping records for materials shipped to other locations.
Follow all safety regulations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, and rules, including the use of mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Handle bio-hazardous waste safely and maintain the facility, including laboratory, grounds, and parking areas, as per company standards.
Utilize facility-related computer systems for maintenance or security and complete assigned maintenance and repair duties.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and procedures while promoting EHS and safety actions.
Maintain a professional image and confidentiality of all company records and information.
Lift up to 50 pounds as required for daily tasks.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
High School diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions
Ability to complete routine forms or conduct routine oral communications
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with SAP
Prior experience in material handling and/or maintenance
Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, or logistics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry, RF scanner, order picking, and heavy lifting
Work Environment
This role is based in the Knoxville, TN lab, with a 100% onsite requirement. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 2nd shift, from 2:30pm to 11pm. The environment is fast-paced with frequent interruptions, and the position requires frequent walking, standing, and bending, with moderate squatting. The role occasionally involves exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens, necessitating the frequent use of personal protective equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.77 - $17.77/hr.
