An international wholesaler and retailer of leather accessories requires a production manager to oversee all aspects of the production process for certain key categories. Duties include product set up, costing and development of Assortment Plans containing all costs and margin calculations. The production manager is responsible for placing purchase orders with factories, reviewing samples, and ensuring quality control.
Responsibilities
· Assortment Plan (AP) Creation and Management
· Conduct Market preparation with factories and assist with creation of line sheets
· Review customer orders for accuracy, clarify discrepancies, check pricing
· Production planning and production calendar management
· Negotiate costs with factories and track best costs across factories
· Coordinate with sales, logistics, and design teams to ensure smooth production
· Order Management and Submission
· Main point of contact and daily communication with factories
· Follow production timeline to try to ensure timely delivery
· Review leather, materials, and samples for quality and send comments to factories
· Oversee packaging process with factories and approvals
· Coordinate with QC team on quality concerns
· Review and communicate post market changes to factories and follow through to make sure changes are made
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-2+ years of production experience, footwear preferrable
-Strong organizational and managerial skills
