Forklift Operating and Material HandlingJoin our dynamic team as a Material Handler, where you will play a pivotal role in managing inventory and ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse. You will be responsible for utilizing various material handling equipment and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.ResponsibilitiesOperate sit-down propane forklifts and cherry pickers to load and unload inbound trucks.Use RF scanners to pick orders for pickup or shipment, ensuring accuracy in inventory management.Engage with customers while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.Handle inbound and outbound shipments, utilizing material handling equipment to move products safely within the warehouse.Stock and arrange products to optimize warehouse inventory turns.Perform cycle counting to determine accurate material quantities and resolve any discrepancies.Ensure pallets are stable and properly located, avoiding damage to material racking and equipment.Practice safe material handling techniques and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.Maintain housekeeping standards within the work area.Essential SkillsProficiency in operating forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models.Experience with RF scanners and material handling equipment.Ability to perform inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping tasks.Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.DetailsLocation:Knoxville, TNShift:Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm or 7:30am - 4:30pmPay:$20/hrContract:90 day contract with the option to go permanent after the 90 day periodWhy Work Here?Enjoy a safe workplace with a record of five years accident-free.
