Job Title: Inspector
Location: Knoxville, TN (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months Contract to permanent
Pay rate: $$13.60 - $22.66 per hour on W2

Job Description:

  • Inspect outgoing products based on internal quality requirements and procedures
  • Support and participate in internal auditing activities as directed by Quality Manager
  • Report problems or concerns to appropriate management and quality personnel with urgency
  • Participate in QA training and support to factory personnel
  • Support Inspection of incoming goods during receiving to ensure consistency and integrity of build material
  • Conduct powered-on testing and diagnostic processes for various types of electronic controls packaged in cabinets or enclosures
  • Prepare Certificates of Conformance per established procedures.
  • Support higher level quality activities such as process auditing of both internal and specialty compliance agency processes such as UL and CSA.
  • Help facilitate Corrective and Preventive actions by assisting warehouse personnel with responses to CARS.
  • Support quality needs for SYSS America's Distribution Center

Must Have:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills including Client Word, Excel, Outlook, communications.
  • Familiar with using a handheld computer scanner
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable with working with others real-time in remote locations
  • Ability to work on your feet for most of a typical 8-hour work shift, and ability to lift up to 49 lbs. on a semi-regular basis. Ability to climb stairs and ladders frequently, walk, kneel, bend, squat, and reach.
  • Familiar with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, stacker lifts, and pallet wrapping equipment
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in either product fulfillment in a commercial, industrial, or other similar high mix, medium volume environment
  • Previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience in fulfilling both manufacturing and distribution of goods
  • Previous experience with powered equipment including fork trucks, pallet jacks, stacker lifts and pallet wrapping equipment
  • Knowledge of modern pick, pack and shipping technology and operations

Key Performance Indicators:
  • This role is responsible for understanding KPIs and for contributing to their improvement:
  • Pack-to-ship complete cycle time
  • CSP failures due to Pack/Ship
