Job description:
* Perform on-the-floor quality testing as required
* Maintain and manage spare parts inventory
* Troubleshoot systems and perform repairs in coordination with supervisors and vendors
* Monitor in-plant processes to ensure adherence to standard practices and special instructions
* Implement and audit departmental quality systems
* Ensure product traceability across assigned areas
* Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions
* Apply ABS principles and A3 problem-solving methodologies
* Coach team members on Quality and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) practices
* Monitor final product data for trends and process improvements
* Maintain quality records, procedures, and documentation
* Support development of APQP tools (FMEA, control plans, reaction plans)
* Ensure compliance with TS16949 standards and VPM systems
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reduce costs
* Support plant safety initiatives
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical support role
* Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
* Associates or Bachelors degree (preferred)
* 4+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
* Experience in hot rolling, cold rolling, or heat treatment operations (preferred)
* Experience working with automotive customers (preferred)
* Familiarity with SAP or similar systems (preferred)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (preferred)
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or ABS principles (preferred)
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills (preferred)
* Ability to multitask and work independently or within cross-functional teams (preferred)
