Overview Loss Control Consultant Commercial Insurance – Independent Contractor - Knoxville, TN. EXL Risk Control is seeking candidates with experience in commercial Property & Casualty Risk Control to schedule on-site surveys, evaluate risk, and provide risk improvement reports to insurance industry clients.Responsibilities Schedule on-site surveys and provide risk evaluation and risk improvement reports to insurance industry clients.Manage assignments you accept, secure customer appointments within a local territory, and complete work assignments on time.Contribute on special projects or more challenging risk evaluation surveys or risk improvement service requests using your education, certifications, and risk control skills.Assess risks for various commercial insurance lines of business, which can include Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine and Builders Risk.Qualifications 10+ years of Risk Control Consulting experience, preferably with a major carrier or national brokerage.Experience with commercial insurance inspections or fire and safety assessments is encouraged.BS Degree in Engineering, Safety and/or the physical sciences is preferred.CSP or ARM designations are preferred but not required.Experience with Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Loss Control, Underwriting, or Claims is preferred.No Licensed Insurance Agents/Producers.Requirements & Tools Windows-based PC with image/document scanner; digital camera; high-speed internet.Measuring device (laser, 100 ft. tape, or measuring wheel) and a reliable vehicle.Work Arrangement Consultants will work from home or office and travel to local commercial operations (e.g., retail, restaurants, hotels, apartment buildings, construction sites, manufacturers, churches, schools, etc.).Other Information EEO/Minorities/Females/Vets/Disabilities statement retained.Please note data shared through the job application will be stored and processed by EXL in accordance with the EXL Privacy Policy.Application & Interview Impersonation Warning policy details.EXL may use AI in the recruiting process; final hiring decisions rest with the recruiting team.We currently list additional related roles and may include multiple locations or related postings.#J-18808-Ljbffr
