This role requires technical expertise, project leadership, and coordination with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant, and cost‑effective site development solutions.Responsibilities Technical & Design Leadership Lead the planning and design of site development projects, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, erosion and sediment control, and roadway accessPrepare and review civil engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documentsEnsuring designs comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, codes, and standardsProvide quality control and technical oversight for work produced by junior engineers and designersDiscipline Project Management Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocationDevelop project work plans, manpower estimates, and participate in proposal effortsCoordinate with clients, Architects, Surveyors, Structural Engineers, Contractors, and other consultants throughout project developmentSupport construction administration services, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site visitsRegulatory & Permitting Lead permitting efforts and coordinate with local agencies, utilities, and regulatory bodiesPrepare and submit land development, zoning, and permitting applicationsAddress regulatory comments and support entitlement processesMentorship & Collaboration Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, EITs, and CAD designersFoster collaboration within project teams and across disciplinesContribute to process improvements, standards development, and technical best practicesClient & Business Development Support Maintain strong client relationships and provide technical support during business development effortsAssist with identifying new project opportunities and expanding existing client relationshipsRepresent the firm during client meetings and stakeholder engagementsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.Professional Engineer (PE) license requiredMinimum of 8–12 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on site developmentMust be able to show proof of US citizenship (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations)Strong working knowledge of site development design practices, permitting, and construction processesExperience with stormwater management design and hydrologic/hydraulic modelingProficiency with relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, HydroCAD, or similar)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited universityExperience serving as Engineer of RecordDemonstrated experience mentoring staff and leading project teamsExperience with sustainable site design and low‑impact development (LID) practicesWork Environment & Physical Requirements Primarily office‑baseAbility to perform site visits and walk construction sitesOccasional travel to client meetings or project locationsOccasional paid overtime to meet project deadlinesCompensation Details $109,000 - $175,000The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good‑faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
