Athletic Field Maintenance
This position is primarily responsible for mowing and maintenance, field painting, fertilizer application, and practice/competition set up of all Athletic fields. Position also oversees general landscaping management of all planting beds and grass common areas for all Athletic facilities.
Mowing of all football practice fields to include Neyland Stadium, Tom Black Track, and Sod Farm. Additionally, mower set-up and general mower maintenance is a requirement.
Agronomic responsibility: Perform aerification, top-dressing, fertilization, and IPM strategies for all University of Tennessee Athletic fields.
Field/Turf Painting-
Required to paint the football practice fields, Neyland Stadium, and Tom Black Track for all Intercollegiate Athletic Events and practices.
Landscape Management: Maintain all landscape around the University of Tennessee Athletic facilities as well as planting beds and grass maintenance in common areas around the University of Tennessee Athletic facilities.
Vehicle and Machine Maintenance: Assist with vehicle maintenance by performing routine daily and weekly inspections as well as repairing any problems that may occur. In addition, perform routine mower maintenance by sharpening reels, blades plus other landscaping mechanical equipment maintenance.
