In this role, you will serve as a technical lead in the design and analysis of complex transportation structures. You will leverage your advanced engineering expertise, sound judgment, and project leadership capabilities to deliver highquality bridge design solutions for state DOTs and local municipal clients.This role may be performed remotely or from one of our office locations. Candidates based in approved U.S. locations are encouraged to apply.Essential FunctionsApply structural engineering principles to lead the design of bridge structures that meet project objectives, client expectations, and regulatory standardsPerform and review complex structural analyses using industrystandard software (e.g., MicroStation, Leap Bridge Concrete, AASHTOWare BrR, Open Bridge Designer, or similar tools).Oversee and develop detailed design drawings, technical calculations, and construction documents with rigorous attention to accuracy and constructabilityManage or significantly contribute to multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring successful execution of bridge and structural projects from inception through completionAssist with leading coordination efforts with contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to maintain schedules, budgets, and high-quality outcomesEnsure strict compliance with QA/QC procedures, including thorough review of design calculations, drawings, and specificationsServe as a technical resource for resolving design challenges, providing innovative and efficient solutions aligned with client needsEngage directly with clients as needed to build strong relationships, communicate project progress, and identify opportunities for added valueRequired Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering with a strong focus on bridge design and transportation-related structuresBachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on StructuresProfessional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 monthsExperience applying industry standards such as AASHTO, LRFD, and state DOT design manualsProven ability to perform and oversee QA/QC procedures on complex structural designsExperience working with state DOTs, municipalities, and county agenciesStrong leadership, communication, and teamcoordination skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineersPreferred Skills and ExperienceMaster's degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringExperience with both new and rehabilitated bridges, retaining walls, noise walls, culverts, and other transportation structuresExperience leading or actively participating in contractor/design team coordination during project execution, including designbuild or CM/GC environmentsOther DutiesThis job description indicates the general nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other essential functions (as covered under ADA).
