Overview Project Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN. Headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Navarro has active programs across the nation for DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense.Responsibilities Provide Project Engineering support and coordination for projects across Commercial, Infrastructure, Production Modernization, and Production Stockpile initiatives. Plan and direct the engineering activities on projects; establish detailed project design scope, budgets, and schedules.Coordinate engineering efforts with Production, Maintenance, Project Management, Construction, Startup, and Project Controls personnel; apply ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements for work in nuclear facilities.Render technical integration, leadership, guidance, and direction to multi-disciplined engineering teams for high‑profile plant initiatives; review project engineering progress against approved schedules and take corrective action as required.Address the coordination and integration of technical resources (internal and external) for large expense‑funded Production capability initiatives that fall outside the conventional capital projects organization.Qualifications BA/BS degree from an ABET‑accredited school in a technical discipline, plus 10 years or more of direct experience required, or an MA/MS with 10+ years of experience.A DOE Q Clearance or DOD equivalent is highly preferred for consideration for this position.
