Pay

Starting Range is $20.00 - $22.00, depending on work experience

Primary Responsibilities
  • Receive and process requests for legal action and notifications to the attorneys, courts, members, and other sources.
  • Prepare Execution and supplemental forms, verify judgment balances with court, correspondence with the Credit Union attorneys' office and court clerks.
  • Use internet and electronic court systems associated with pending litigation to perform tasks, including but not limited to, reviewing documents, payments, court trials, executions, and petitions to pay.
  • Review, update, and perform maintenance on the core operating system, online banking systems, collection system, work assigned legal collection queues and send notification to various Credit Union departments and specified vendors of legal action and status.
  • Review account history and balance for contested matters, communication with attorneys, court clerks and other relevant parties to resolve disputes.
  • Update and distribute reports and spreadsheets to reflect current status of legal files.
  • Export files to the Collection Agency for placement of new accounts for collection.
  • Correspond with Collection agency for requests or information on accounts, including disputed accounts.
  • Ensure sensitive and personal information on Credit Union documentation is redacted, when necessary, to secure the position of the Credit Union and its claims.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) guidelines when applicable, various state laws, local court laws and rules.
  • Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner (including but not limited to appearance, behavior, and performance).
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of one year of legal experience required.
