Laboratory Assistant I - 3rd shift

Description:

Responsibilities:
• Under direct supervision, assists in non-licensed laboratory activities and recordkeeping at the company lab
• Assists professionals/certified individuals by preparing materials/samples and performing various lab tests
• Participates in continuing education; operates, maintains and troubleshoots instrumentation within assigned department
• Receives specimens, processes and records information received from collection centers; handles and tracks donor samples from receipt to final testing
• Performs proper disposal of samples into biohazard containers after testing is complete
• Follows safety regulations, Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) rules, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Works within current good manufacturing practice (cGMP) guidelines and adheres to all regulatory standards within the lab

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent vocational or technical training
• Basic computer skills required
• Previous lab-related experience preferred
