Maintain and update shipping records, including shipping logs, delivery receipts, and customs documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness for auditing purposes.
Pack orders for cost-effective shipment while also preventing damage in transit.
Prepare shipping documentation for UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight such as packing lists, and shipping labels, to accurately represent the contents, value, and origin of the goods.
Monitor and request supplies for department.
Process intercompany shipping requests from machine shop to assembly.
Process shipments to outplant vendors in accordance with drawing requirements.
Receive daily shipments and put away materials in efficient manner.
Receive product coming back from vendors using ERP to determine if item is stocked, has additional machining OPS, or needs to be shipped to assembly as a finished good.
Track and monitor shipments throughout the transportation process, ensuring visibility and proactively resolving any delays or challenges that may occur.
Collaborate with the production and purchasing team to coordinate shipping schedules and prioritize shipments based on customer requirements and deadlines.
Other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
1+ year of related experience preferred but not required
MS Suite proficiency and ERP experience
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs up to 2/3 of workday
Other physical activity include standing, climbing, stooping, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching
