Materials ClerkThe Logistics Clerk is responsible for handling logistics tasks and supporting the logistics Supervisor in daily activities, which might include shipping, receiving, cycle counts, and inventory transactions.ResponsibilitiesProcess incoming and outgoing shipments. Verify shipment contents and resolve discrepancies. Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition. Unload, unpack, and accurately document received goods. Coordinate warehousing of received items.Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve logistics issues. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. Collaborate with the logistics team to improve efficiency and reduce costs.Coordinate transactions related to outsourced processes. Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of items sent to external vendors for additional processing.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Identify and address safety hazards, implement corrective actions, and promote a culture of safety within the organization.Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentProven experience as a logistics clerk or in a similar role.Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Oracle) and MS Office (especially Excel).Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to use (or learn to use) a forklift.Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and outside process transactions documentation.Must Haves1+ year experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory operations.Strong knowledge of shipping documents, receiving, cycle counts, and inventory transactions.Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/logistics systems, preferably Oracle.Must be detail-oriented, organized, communicative, and able to use or learn a forklift.
