Materials Handler

Our client, a leading logistics and distribution organization, is seeking a Materials Handler to join their team. As a Materials Handler, you will be part of the Distribution Center team supporting warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $19

Shift: 7AM-4PM

What's the Job?

• Load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site
• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to identify materials or containers to be moved
• Ensure accurate receipt of goods for production and picking goods based on established procedures
• Maintain computerized store systems, including serial number scanning and tracking
• Perform general distribution center duties such as packing, unpacking, and material movement

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and communication tools
• Familiarity with handheld computer scanners
• Ability to work on your feet for most of an 8-hour shift and lift up to 49 lbs regularly
• Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, stacker lifts, and pallet wrapping equipment
