We are hiring an Underwriter Assistant in our Knoxville, Tennessee, office. You will provide customer service to internal and external customers via phone and email. You will have the opportunity to learn about ratings and cross-train on various job duties.

The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented and takes pride in producing work with a high accuracy level. With a natural aptitude for problem-solving, this candidate can switch between tasks quickly and work independently. Past supervisors would describe employees in this position as energetic, reliable, and efficient, with exceptional attendance.

Successful candidates will have:

• A high school diploma or the equivalent.
• A minimum of 6 years' clerical experience with a preference for at least 3 years' experience in the insurance or underwriting department.
• Good computer and data entry skills with the ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.

Due to COVID-19, this position currently works remotely. Once conditions change and we are back in the office, the role will regularly report to the Knoxville office for work.
